leia131Oh my God, I just met with my Biology professor/advisor...
HE IS THE COOLEST GUY!
We learned as much about him in our meeting as we did about classes and biology.
He's like sort of young, and he has a three year old son named James Axel, (but he goes by Jax) and he just started reading The Magic of Myth by Joseph Campbell.
And and and he likes Star Wars! Yes, yes, my friends, as all good science teachers are, he is a dork. One of the names his wife vetoed for his son was Padawan.
He rides his bike around, and he sort of looks like Mr. French, but I think that's just because he's balding in the same pattern. Though he does remind me a lot of Mr. French.
It's also uber-cool that you can go to your advisor whenever and that people here actually CARE about you as a student and want you to do well. And this is why I picked a small school.
In short, Yay Biology!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I feel like I'm at Hogwarts. Professors, dormitories, new people, lots of homework, big sporting fields; all I need is a pet owl and a trunk to put at the end of my bed.
