Aug. 13th, 2006 09:30 pmSo... Janeea, Sarah, what's the plan?
When are we leaving, where are we picking up Matt, where are we leaving from, what's the scoop?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Date: 2006-08-14 06:34 pm (UTC)Since your father is so kindly providing us with a vehicle (manymany thanks to him), we are leaving from your house. Whether you would rather we meet in the morning or sleep over Tuesday (tomorrow!) night is up to you, because you live there (duh).
We are picking Matt up at the Syracuse Bus Station (Matt, I'm assuming it's Greyhound; if it isn't, tell me asap because that's what I have directions to and will need to change them). It takes just under 4 hours to get there assuming we go the speed limit and everything goes perfect (ha ha). If we leave between 6:30 and 7am we should get there between 10:30 and 11, giving Matt's bus time to be late and/or stranding him in the Syracuse bus station for a while. But he's said he's okay with that.
It takes 11 hours+ a little bit to get from there to the Hotel. Not counting meals, bathrooms, gas and unforseen mishaps, that puts us in Chicago around 11:30 to midnight our time, 10:30-11 Central time. Obviously, that isn't going to happen but I'm not too worried about that.
There will be tolls. 90 I believe is a toll road. Just so ya know.
I printed our Tickets (eeeee!) Hotel Confirmation, directions from Rutland to Greyhound Bus in Syracuse to Holiday Inn in Rosemont, and small, low quality maps from map quest (the directions are good though). I have the Giant Atlas and a tiny fold out map of Chicago that has metro lines and attractions labeled.
As far as day stuff, there are a bunch of ideas (Navy Pier, Mag. Mile, Lincoln Zoo, Millenium Park) but feel free to keep exploring for stuff, and for under 21 nightlife ideas if people are interested.
That answer your question?

Date: 2006-08-14 10:41 pm (UTC)Sarah, you are my hero.
Only, does Neea know this?
And maybe sleeping over would be a good idea... I'll ask about that and get back to you.
THANK YOU!!!

Maybe we could play your trivial pursuit with my mom so she can see how awesome it is and buy it for us...
