leia131So, I was channel surfing this morning, cause that's what I do, and I stopped on TNT because there was shooting. And nothing gets a girl's attention like bloodshed. Then they showed a woman, and since I know that TNT shows old ER episodes, and since I knew that this woman used to be on ER, I knew that's what the show was. I was then going to keep surfing, cause I don't watch ER, until I realized who the man with the gun was. It was Ewan McGregor, in all his Scottish glory.
Of course I proceded to watch the whole episode, because one does not surf away from Ewan McGregor in all his Scottish glory. And I mean that. He was speaking beautifully and unashamedly in his full Scottish accent, not trying to hide it or make it British like he usually has to do for his roles. This is because he was playing a Scottish guy, (named Duncan, because clearly ER's writers are not very original, and have possibly read MacBeth one too many times), who came to America to live with his cousin and somehow ended up robbing a convenience store. Nice.
All I could think while watching it was "Oh Ewan, your wig is awful but your voice is gorgeous." (I can't find a picture of his bad hair, but trust me, it was heinous.)
So I have concluded that I don't care what Ewan is doing, who he's shooting, what he's robbing, or how bad his hair is. If he talks in that accent, I will watch it.
