Because every August is Star-Gazing Month, every August is also Megan-Writes-A-Wolfstar-Fic Month. Apparantly the stars are my muses.

And so I present to you:

Stars

"There’s so many of them," Remus said, gazing skyward. "Hundreds. Thousands. Probably more."

"Yeah," agreed Sirius, looking up as well.

"Also, they’re billions of light-years away," Remus went on. "Do you know how big they must be for us to be able to see them, all the way down here? They’d been around for billions of years before we were born, and they’ll continue being for billions of years after we’re dead. Doesn’t that make you feel small? Don’t you feel meaningless and insignificant knowing all that?" He looked inquiringly at Sirius.

Sirius smiled and kissed him. He thought of the way Remus looked at him sometimes, the way he was looking at him now, as though Sirius was the only thing in the entire universe worth seeing.

"No," he answered, "not when I’m with you."

Now, in case there are any Drabble purists out there, I also have a version trimmed down to exactly 100 words, bot I don't like it quite as much. It lost something in the editing.
