Dear Disney,

You know, I'm sure you're still a big, wasteful company (I don't even want to THINK about the amount of water, electricity, and waste Disney World goes through in a day) and I'm sure the Friends for Change thing is just as much about good PR as caring about the planet, but you know what? I appreciate the effort.

Yes, you probably could have afforded to donate more than a million dollars to green projects, but damn, that is still a lot of money for you to pledge to the planet. And what's more important than that, is that you've brought the issue to the attention of your viewers, made it seem like a priority, and invited them to participate in being green and helping the environment. And who are your viewers? Kids. Let me say, it is important for kids to want to be green, because though it's hard to change the minds of adults set in their ways, if we set the kids in green ways, well, that's good for our future as a species.

So, Disney, you're not perfect, but I love you, and I really appreciate your steps toward being green, and educating the youth about doing the same.

Yay Disney. Mostly unrelated comment: I suggest you see Up if there is a 3D theatre near you, it was really sweet, though it had one or two Fox and the Hound moments (translation: completely depressing). If you have a child under 10 that you can kidnap and bring with you I suggest it, though I think it would still be good.

YEAH! I saw up too! But I just went with some friends, and it rocked socks. There are definitely moments in which you'll be all "AAAAHHHH THAT'S SAD" but its still an awesometacular movie and I encourage watchage.

ya know what I really appreciate that too disney! I love disney and am happy they are trying to help out. I agree megan that by helping kids become green we will help the planets future.
