-Guys, seriously, PR is hardly a life or death situation. Don't dramatize.

-Oh wow, the surprise client is Heidi. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last time, I'm sure, that they design for Heidi. Daniel's reaction was adorable though.

-Is PR just what Heidi uses to promote her personal projects, or what? Whatever, I don't care, I still love her.

-"It's all in Heidi's box." LOLOLOLOLOL. "It's feminine, but it's also quite hard." LOLOLOL AGAIN.

-All right, Blondejamin, this is indeed a 'massive opportunity,' so don't fuck it up!

-God I love/am horribly distracted by Daniel's mustache.

-Ok, dude, team Keeping It Real has been working in pairs and collaboratively this whole time; working in pairs on some looks this week is not going to be a problem for them. They have embraced the whole 'team' thing, as well they should on Project Runway TEAMS. It's you, The Dream Team, who can't work together.

-OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE. "I'm not a dressmaker". YOU ARE ON PROJECT RUNWAY, THIS IS LIKE THE MILLIONTH SEASON, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A DRESS AT SOME POINT. If you say, and I said this last week too, "I'm not a whatever maker" YOU WILL GO HOME. On PR, you are an everything maker, or you are toast.

-I want to dislike Layana, because she's kind of a mooch, but she's so damn cute (and also really good at mooching) that I just can't help but admire her instead.

-What ho, Cindy, you suddenly trust Blondejamin? Well all right then, I guess you took my advice from last week.

-I don't really know what "fashion S&M" is, Tim, but I loved hearing you say it. *imagines Dom!Tim Gunn*

-OH GOD TIM YOU DID NOT JUST TALK ABOUT HEIDI'S CLEAVAGE.

-Layana, sweetie, LIGHTEN UP. It's just a certain shade of pink, it's fine. I agree with Kate: No time for doubt, and if you're upset go cry in the bathroom, not to Tim. Layana may be kind of a drama queen... But every PR season needs one of those, right?

-BTW, Layana totally looks like Kristin Kreuk. JSYK.

-Blondejamin, are you crying? THERE'S NO CRYING IN FASHION.

-That is the right attitude, Layana. You are indeed a team, and everyone does need to have a good garment for your team to win. I'm not sure if you actually helped Patricia at all, but at least you get the concept of teamwork.

-It's ok to be self-taught, Daniel, but please don't cry about it. (I think Anya was self-taught, at least mostly, and she fucking won her season, so it'll be ok!)

-Oh Blondejamin. Your dress looks like poo and your model looks uncomfortable. Also, you have gotten a lot of screen time this episode, so I think you are in trouble.

-Daniel that dress is SO NICE, YAY! And thank you for being so gracious and appreciative toward Patricia and her leather.

-Patricia, there might be a reason no one else has that kind of thing.

-That dress is nice, but a little too short maybe?

-WTF is with the ass ruffle/feather? She really does look like a glam chicken.

-OMFG LAYANA THAT IS SO PRETTY. And you were worried. HAVE MORE FAITH. I literally said "wow" out loud when it appeared. It is amazing.

-Dream Team look 1: boring.

-I like the one with the weird little collar though.

-Cindy, I don't like yours, though I can't tell you exactly why.

-Long black dress: boring.

-Well, Blondejamin, it's not as bad as I feared, but it's not exactly good either. It's sort of Greek, which I dig, but it is also falling down, which is bad.

-Another black dress: boring and ugly. Also, pink was Heidi's main color, and most of your dresses are mainly or totally black. Why are you afraid of color, Dream Team?

-Dude, of course Keeping It Real are the winners, their stuff doesn't SUCK ASS.

-Aww, the judges didn't like the collar dress. I did. I mean, it's not fantastic, but it's not nearly as bad as it could have been. Oh, well, they're saying it's too far on the S&M spectrum... I can see that. Oh God, Kristen Davis is the guest judge, and she is still Charlotte York. Now I'm imagining Charlotte being asked to wear the leather bondage-y dress. LOL

-Cindy, I think the fabric is bad. I like shiny stuff, but Nina's right, it does look cheap. Oh man, Kristen talked about being Charlotte because she is and wearing a dress like Cindy's 10 years ago... She's right too, it's super dated. That's my problem: bad fabric and 90's style.

-Droopy boobs. Yes, that is exactly Blondejamin's problem. NAILED IT. You tell him, Zac Posen. No excuses, own what you make, even if it's crap. This goes back to the 'no crying in fashion' thing.

-You need to help your team, bitchy woman, not complain about how their crappy designs mean that you can't get recognition for your good ones. If you help them succeed, then you can all rise up together.

-Heh, the judges didn't like the butt feather/ruffle either. Or the gold shiny one. Neither did I judges, neither did I.

-Ooooo, Heidi almost busted a cap in Zac Posen when he said the dress might look better on a younger woman.

-Way to compliment Patricia, everyone! This team works so well together, and that's why they keep winning. They all help each other when needed, and try to buoy each other up on and off the runway. Dream Team, on the other hand, is self-defeating: Every week they lose, and every loss causes them to lose confidence, and then they design crappily, and then they lose again. It's a vicious cycle.

-Please let Leyana and Kate win, I love their dress so much. YAY KATE WON YAY! Also, she is so cute. Kate, can we be friends? Please?

-Aww, Daniel won too. Happy crying is allowed in fashion, I suppose. :)

-Cindy is out. She should have been out last week, so I'm not surprised. Blondejamin's dress just had construction issues, whereas Cindy's had construction, fabric, style, and like, everything else issues.

-OOOOO next week is unconventional materials, I love that challenge.

I don't think the pics are up yet, but I'll try to remember to go back and edit this post with pictures sometime tomorrow.

I love PR! I haven't seen any of the new season though (obviously I'm so concerned with spoilers for the show, lol). I'm still having fun looking at your blog about it though!

I totally don't understand how someone can expect to go on a show like PR and not expect to ever make a dress, especially since it's be going for a while! I watch Face-Off and they say stuff like that too, and I'm like, how can you not expect to have this happen? It's kind of expected. :P

I'm glad you enjoy it! It's so much fun to call them on their crap, seriously. They're all so dramatic (though I sort of blame the producers for that) and act like PR is some brand new thing and they have no idea what to expect.

I just recently watched two episodes of Face Off, and I really liked it! I've avoided it in the past (I can't even remember why now) but I really enjoyed it!

Oh, and I just updated the post with pics, if you want to see the looks. :)

So obviously I don't really watch the show when watching it vicariously through this post is better. Thus I only see the photos that PR uploads online (I love that they added photos of the fabric swatches this year).

I agree that Daniel's dress was great, and really that ass-ruffle thing was awful. The dress you thought was too short didn't really look it in the pictures but would have been much better (if maybe slightly more boring) had it not had that unnecessary slit.

As for dream team, I only need two words to sum up my opinions on all of their designs: fit issues. I will add that Blondejamin's suffered the most from this, he managed to make the stick figure model's boobs look small and her hips look really wide. Had he made it a one-shoulder dress and left off the bottom three gold bans it could have been gorgeous and actually have a seemingly really good fit.

Kate and Leyana totally deserved to win - their dress was head and shoulders above the rest and actually looked like something you would see on the runway or being worn by some starlet (or Charlize Theron) on a red carpet. 50 Shades of Grey premiere maybe?

I loved the fabric pics too! That's a new thing this year, I'm pretty sure.

The too short dress I think was all right on the runway, but Heidi was going to (hypothetically) wear it to press events, and it seemed a little short to me for that. Sorry, I left out the details of the challenge that would have provided context.

Blondejamin's had so much potential, he just didn't live up to it. Kate and Leyana were working off Heidi's instruction to be "feminine but hard" (as were others, but not as well) which it probably why it evokes 50 Shades. Heidi is going to wear it in the photo shoot for her new perfume... which might have already happened, I have no idea.

Also, this is the perfume bottle: http://pickafragrance.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Surprise-by-Heidi-Klum.jpg which you can totally see in their dress.

Well I don't think the dress was necessarily right for press events but it was by far the best dress and seemed to follow the rest of the directive then best. It seems perfect for the print campaign though and you can totally see the influence of the perfume bottle.

Heidi actually ended up picking Leyana and Kate's design for the print, and Daniel's gold dress for the press stuff, even though his design was really for the print as well. Possibly this was because the press outfits on that team included the ass-ruffle dress, so...
