Look everyone, I finally got a PR icon! Rejoice!

-Richard has moved into the room with the other guys, (since his last roommate was Blondejamin and he's gone now) and is excited to "get to know Stanley better". This means he wants to bone him, if his smile is anything to go by. (BTW, what is the point of having gender segregated living arrangements when all the men are gay? I mean, sometimes there's a straight guy or two on PR, but not this season.)

-Everyone in both houses agrees that Amanda should have gone home last week. Including Amanda. However, Amanda does say that she's been 'saved' and is therefore going to take advantage of still being here and stop being so hard on herself. GO AMANDA! Run with that!

-Heidi has a duck (named Fred) on a leash, because this is a duct tape challenge. LOL. The designers, who haven't seen the previews, do not know what the duck has to do with anything. Layana guesses a farm challenge.

-Apparently, Daniel once had a pet duck. <3

-Tu has been chased by a duck, and therefore "cannot stand duck." He is adorable and I want to hear more about his terrifying duck experience.

-The workroom is filled with duct tape, and everything suddenly becomes clear.

-This episode sponsored by Duck Brand duct tape. Seriously. Duck provided the tape, and is donating $5,000 to a charity of the winner's choice. Also, the Duck guy has a tie made of duct tape, and it is pretty awesome.

-Challenge: create a 'fashion forward' prom dress out of duct tape.

-The looks are also going to be voted on by high schoolers... Samantha is not pleased with this development.

-20% of the high schoolers' feedback will factor into the judging. Excellent.

-Layana says the high schoolers will just vote on the one that shows the most skin, which annoys me. A lot of what she says annoys me, actually.

-Stanley says he's designed prom dresses for his nieces before, so he's all over this.

-The name of the challenge is, "Stuck at Prom." LOL

-They're working in teams of two, to create one look.  Teams are: Stanley and Layana, Kate and Tu, Michelle and Amanda, Richard and Daniel, Patricia and Samantha. I find the way they choose pairs very interesting. The winner of last week (Stanley) got to choose his partner first, then Tim pulled names out of the button bag and the names he pulled got to choose their partners. It would be less middle school just to pull two names out and randomly assign pairs, but whatever. This way we get drama!

-Richard is hurt that Stanley chose Layana over him, because he has the hots for Stanley apparently specializes in prom dresses. Kate doesn't want to work with anyone but Tu, so she picked him again.

-Richard and Daniel have taken ALL the gold duct tape, and are literally hoarding it and not letting anyone else have ANY. I'm serious, not even a piece. Michelle is annoyed with this. (I would be too.)

-Patricia said, earlier, that Michelle and Amanda and Layana are like bitchy schoolgirls, and I'm really seeing that in Amanda and Michelle this week (and we all know that Michelle was on that boat last week as well.) Don't drag Amanda down into your nastiness, Michelle.

-Layana is also lamenting the loss of gold, but Stan is confident that they'll be ok with hot pink. Layana apparently doesn't like pink.

-They only have one day for this challenge, so tension is high.

-Oh dear. Kate basically just said that she likes working with Tu because he does what she says. "There's only room for one cook in this kitchen, and it's me." Tu, for his part, says that he's never been to prom, but Kate has, so he's trusting her judgement here. It is PR 'teams', so hey, whatever works. For this particular challenge in this particular season, I don't think this is a bad strategy. Especially since the judges have liked most of what Kate's done.

-Michelle made her own prom dress when she went to prom... Of course she did. Amanda has, thankfully, talked her out of using the camo duct tape. Instead they're going to create a print... That's a good idea, but they don't have a lot of time to make it work.

-Samantha and Patricia are clashing. Color me surprised.

-Daniel's right, his dress does look like a baked potato. He's started it over with a different tact, thankfully. I'm not sure what Richard's been up to while Daniel was making the dress, but whatever. (In retrospect, he was probably making that awesome corsage.)

-Richard loves working with Daniel, saying they have 'great chemistry'. KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS, RICHARD.

-Dear God, Time said, "I'm not concerned" about Layana and Stanley's dress. I don't know if I've ever heard him say that. Look at my icon! That is not his catch phrase!

-Patricia and Samantha have two different designs, and Tim IS concerned about that. As well he should be.

-Richard says young girls want to be sexy, but not have things falling out of their dresses. Clearly he has never been to a prom.

-I do not like Michelle and Amanda's houndstooth pattern.

-Kate has a lot of opinions about other people's looks, but her and Tu's is pretty, to use Tim's word, "lackluster". It's just long, monochromatic, and shiny.

-Oh dear, Daniel and Richard have added some heinous ruffles on the bottom of their dress. WHY DID YOU DO THAT?

-Amanda and Michelle's has turned the corner, and I actually kind of like it now. Michelle also said that she can add, "ability to sew a zipper into duct tape" to her list of skills. She can be so nasty, but she's also quite witty. I don't know how I feel about her.

-I do not care for Layana and Stanley's dress, but based on the editing I predict they will be safe.

-Everyone is, unsurprisingly, anxious about leaving 20% of their fate in the hands of teenagers.

-I don't know about you, but a lot of people wore a lot of weird-ass things to prom when I was in high school. There's really no telling what kids will wear to prom, so they all need to stop trying to predict it. One girl at my prom had her hair done around her Red Sox hat, which was color coordinated to her dress. One boy wore a purple velvet jacket and black and silver checkered shoes.

-Amanda and Michelle's is actually my favorite. It looks better on the model than it did when it was flat.

-I don't care for Layana and Stanley's. Who wants their boobs outlined like that? I'm also not crazy about the neon pink bow.

-Actually, the ruffles on Daniel and Richard's don't look that bad when you see the dress as a whole. It looks very prom.

-Samantha and Patricia's is weird and I don't like the cut of the skirt.

-Tu and Kate's is elegant, but it looks more like a red carpet dress than a prom dress. Tim also cautioned them that if this challenge was about fabric they would have gone to Mood, so I'm not sure how well the fact that it looks like fabric and not tape is going to go over.

-Amanda and Michelle didn't get much attention from the high schoolers, and they are sad. They're too in love with their look to change it though... This might be bad, I don't know.

-Tu says, "Come on. We are going to prom, girls, we are not going to Halloween." I love the way he speaks English, and if that's wrong well then so be it. I don't agree, however, that Amanda and Michelle's dress looks like a costume. I don't know where everyone is getting that idea. (Patricia and Samantha's is the one that looks like a costume.)

-Oh, they get a few more hours after the high school show to tweak their looks before the runway. Interesting. They're incorporating feedback from the high schoolers.

-Michelle just got waaaaay too excited about her model having a hairbow. (And when I say 'hairbow' I mean this, not this.)

-Tu just said "y'all". I can't even tell you how hilarious it is to hear a Thai man, with his Thai accent, say "y'all." I sound weird saying y'all in my Yankee accent, nevermind him.

-Patricia and Samantha got the most student votes. Really? Ok then.

-Zac's back from wherever he was last week. Yawn.

-Guest judge: Chris Benz. I have no idea who he is, but he has neon pink hair.

-I don't care, I like Amanda and Michelle's. I love the colors, I love the cut, I love the edges, and it does actually work really well with the hairbow.

-Oh God, Layana and Stanley made that horrible pink bow even bigger. Yikes.

-Richard and Daniel's is definitely the most PROM of the dresses, and it doesn't look like duct tape at all. They also accented it with a corsage, which is a cute touch.

-Kate and Tu's model looks like she's having trouble walking in her dress, probably because it's tight around the knees and  weighs about a million pounds. (Duct tape gets very heavy very fast, and doesn't breathe well either, trust me.) Plus, from a prom practicality standpoint, it would be impossible to dance in that dress, on top of it being heavy and hot. Also, your date would constantly be stepping on it.

-Tu is "ready to be a prom queen." LOL. He has all the best sound bites this week.

-Patricia and Samantha's dress really does look like a costume, for like, a space amazon. And not in a good way. Patricia even said that their girl looks like an alien. Pat, honey, I'm not sure that that's a good thing. (Edit: And, as you can see in the pictures, the fact that their model has an insanely long neck adds to the space amazon costume vibe.)

-Heidi never went to prom. Aww. :( Heidi likes Patricia and Samantha's dress, and Nina loves the back. Pink haired dude says "girls want tight and short, always. " THEY DO NOT, STFU. Who are you?

-Samantha gives Patricia credit for the look, even though she was worried earlier. I'm kind of glad that their dress turned out well for them.

-Heidi, correctly, assesses that Kate's dress is no fun. Pinky says it's 'square', (seriously, WHO ARE YOU? Who says 'square' anymore?) Nina says it's matronly colored, very old looking, and cliche. I have to agree. Kate (rightfully) says that it's her design and she should go home if they don't like it.

-Oh sweet fancy Moses, they like Layana and Stanley's dress. There is not enough UGH in my vocabulary for my feelings about this dress. The bracelet they made out of the duct tape roll is the best thing about it. (It does have great movement, though, and there's also a frilly duct tape petticoat, which isn't something I get to type very often.)

-Pinky loves Amanda and Michelle's dress. Zac says the shape is fantastic (because it is), Nina calls it 'Gwen Stefani,' (which it is), and Heidi is 'into it'. Yay, they like the one that I like for once!

-I like the lattice on the sides of Daniel and Richard's dress. And wow, they made that corsage out of duct tape; I'm more impressed with that than with the dress. Heidi says it looks like it's from 20 years ago (which it kind of does, oops), Zac doesn't like the bodice, and Pinky doesn't like how the material looks. I personally think it would have been miles better without the ruffles.

-Kate and Tu's dress would be better if you cut it off at the knees.

-Uh oh, Heidi says she doesn't know who Tu is, and that he's kind of been hiding. I fear for him; he's had a lot of screen time this week...

-Ready for this? AMANDA AND MICHELLE ARE THE WINNERS! Michelle is THE winner (whatever, she's still awfully catty), and she's sent her money to Autism Speaks. (Is that the bad Autism charity? I can't remember).

-Richard and Daniel are in, which doesn't surprise me. The judges had far more issues with both the dress and the team dynamic between Kate and Tu.

-Tu is out. :( :( :( To his credit, he says he deserved it because he didn't speak up. I want to be his friend. Tu, call me?

-HOLY FUCKING SHIT KATE IS ALSO OUT. WTF??? I don't even know how to react to this, and neither does Kate. The other designers are similarly shocked. Can they even do that? And why now and not last week? I honestly don't know what the judges are thinking on this show anymore.

-Tu says it was amazing just to see a look he made go down the runway, and Kate says her dream came true because she got to be on PR. I liked both of them. I am sadface.

-However, next week, their clients are Thunder from Down Under. *Googles* They are... Male exotic dancers? Male strippers? Whatever they are, this is definitely something all the designers can enjoy.

Since I'm working longer hours now, I probably won't be able to update this post with pictures until tomorrow night. So look for that then!

Answer to last Thursday's song: Mama I'm a Big Girl Now, from Hairspray.

Now with pictures! Also, This is possibly the best PR picture I've ever seen. LOL FOREVER.

Oh, a duct tape episode! xD Me and Scottie have fun making things out of duct tape. My wallet is currently made out of turquoise duct tape. xD

I actually like the gold dress. I like your favorite dress too, though I'm not sure of the flourish on the shoulder, it just looks so pointy. xD I don't like the amazon space dress, I think that kind of skirt can be pretty but it has to be in a really flowy material for me to like it. Duct tape isn't flowy. lol

When I was in high school I was in a production of Peter Pan where everyone's costumes were at least partially duct tape... So it has kind of a special place in my heart, and I know exactly what it's like to wear it.

I don't mind the gold one. It wasn't the best thing ever, but I'm glad that they didn't go home over it.
