-Previously, on Project Runway: Michelle was given a "do or die moment" to possibly save herself from going home. Now they're like, making her wait and stew with all the other designers. Yikes.

-Michelle, you were not always at the top. Your overconfidence is your weakness really annoying.

-THANK GOD Tim has come to "make everything perfectly clear" AKA tell Michelle that she gets a second chance, and no one is going home because they're all "extremely talented." WHY DID YOU MAKE US ALL WAIT THEN? JUST TO GIVE MICHELLE A STROKE?!

-Heidi says that Michelle really has to wow them to prove that their decision was the right one. Michelle says nothing will change for her, since every challenge has been do or die. Has she no humility?

-Layana is being a total bitch about Michelle still being there, because she's ticked that there's still five of them, and says, "Can we just get this over with?" I want to smack her.

-This is their final opportunity to show the judges what they can achieve, which means we're coming up on the finale.

-Each of them gets to go to a different European country for inspiration. They've all been to Europe before (MUST BE NICE) except for Daniel, who bursts into tears. God I love him.

-Layana - Barcelona; Patricia - Paris; Daniel- Berlin; Stanley- London; Michelle... doesn't get to go to Europe. :( Aww. She has to stay in NYC and be inspired by that. Which is all right, I guess.

-Oh boy, their sewing assistants get to go with them! But, thank God for Patricia, they mixed up the partners.

-New pairs are: Layana & Samantha, Patricia & Kate, Daniel & Amanda, Stanley & Richard (remember when  they were in love?), and Michelle & Tu (This means that Tu doesn't get to go to Europe either. Sadface again.)

-Challenge: Design a high end runway look, with a budget of $1000 USD (which is relevant because they usually get about $250, and also because thy have to buy the materials in Europe). And they have to come back to NYC to sew.

-Daniel is SO CUTE. He's so happy to be in Europe, can I please just hug him forever? He's just overwhelmed... it's nice to see someone on this show be humble.

-Dude, they have ONE DAY in their city. That's a mixed blessing if I ever heard one.

-Michelle is emo. I can't say I totally blame her, since she didn't get to go on a trip. On the other hand, she still has a shot at winning, so.

-Could Patricia be any happier to be paired with NOT RICHARD? The answer is no.

-Patricia is going to be inspired by the grittier "real" Paris, rather than romantic Paris. All right, I can dig that.

-Layana is all about the tile details and architecture in Barcelona. Stanley is also feeling architecture, especially the windows of Big Ben and Parliament. He's going for something dark as well.

-"I look over at Big Ben, and it's just so massive, it's blowing my mind right now." That's what she said.

-Daniel has found this weird-ass geometric building that he's using for inspiration. It's odd, though not surprising, that everyone seems to be using architecture for inspiration. There's also like, food and colors and plants and people and stuff in these countries, not just buildings!

-Michelle is wearing Layana's orange hat, but she is not rocking it nearly as much as Layana was. She's being inspired by... buildings. Oy. Especially old juxtaposed with new, which is different... ish.

-Amanda, bless her, is pushing Daniel toward a younger look. LISTEN TO HER, DANIEL.

-Layana is going for a leather jacket (didn't she do leather last week?) but it looks great in her sketch. Michelle is also feeling leather, but she mentioned a 'bib'. I don't think that's going to go over well.

-Amanda and Daniel can't find the fabrics they want in the store they're in... Did they have assigned fabric stores? Can they not find another one (one that carries leather and silk?)

-LOL everyone is converting to Euros except Stanley. Speaking of which, is the exchange rate different for them? Like, does Stanley have a different amount of money to work with than the others? (As of right now, $1000 USD = 762.66 Euro, and 649.77 pounds. So, yes. That's not really fair, is it?)

-Patricia has encountered a language barrier, as well as some budget issues. I had wondered how they were going to fare buying stuff in non-English speaking countries.

-Daniel has found white vinyl to make his jacket instead of leather, and some kind of black fabric that looks silky enough to me for his dress.

-Layana also can't find leather in Spain, it of course being the fabric her entire look is built around. She's going with black lace instead. Also, apparently in Spain you cut your own fabric. All right then. (P.S. Layana is from Brazil, and although Spanish is not quite the same as Portuguese  it's similar enough that I bet she probably didn't have too much of a language issue.)

-Michelle's taste in fabric is... gross. But she did get to go to Mood, which seems like an advantage because 1. she had more money 2. she's familiar with the store 3. they speak English 4. she didn't have to convert anything and 5. they carry leather.

-Oh God, Michelle, yes, they're all happy and they're all talking about Europe. DEAL WITH IT. You can't just have them be silent about their fabulous trips. You could be at home right now, be grateful that you're still here at all. You could still win, and then when you're a world famous designer you can go to Europe.

-Michelle called her fabric, "avante-turd" and her design "bondage lobster eating gear." I'm not sure how I feel about that, mostly because she's not wrong.

-Patricia's textile is based on the layered graffiti she saw in Paris, and Tim called it remarkable. However, her dress and her jacket don't seem to mesh.

-Tim is being far more supportive of Michelle's look than I am.

-Layana has a lot of work to do, and although she's not concerned about time, Tim sure as hell is.

-I can't tell how I feel about Daniel's boots yet. They are a little hookerish... But I might like that.

-Anyone else think an ANTM and PR crossover would be EPIC? Just one episode, that's all I ask.

-Everyone is super nervous, as this is the last shot they have before fashion week.

-Did Daniel and Stanley make the same black dress, or am I crazy?

-Showtime! Let's see your fashion capital inspired looks, people!

-Guest judge: John Legend. Heidi calls him a singer, songwriter, and Grammy winner, but what does he know about fashion?

-Layana: I like the dress, but what is up with those sleeve hankiesThe lace is really nice though, as are the shapes.

-Michelle's... Oh dear, noI don't like it at all. Her ombre didn't really come out, but I don't think that would have helped.

-Stanley's is ok I guess. Can he do anything that ins't boring? He bought sequin covered fabric and then put it on the inside of the dress! You can't even see it! Also, that can't be comfortable for the model.

-Oh Lord, Patricia, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? She says no one else has done a top like this, and I'm pretty sure there's a reason for that. I do get the layered graffiti vibe she was going for though.

-Ooh, I do like Daniel's, and it is not, in fact, the same as Stanley's. Mostly because I don't want to fall asleep while looking at it. He also says that he embraced his limited fabric store choices, which I applaud. (P.S. That shiny stuff on the model that looks like pants? Those are the boots Daniel made. I WANT THEM.)

-YAY THEY LIKE DANIEL'S, EVEN THE BOOTS. WOOOO! They also see Berlin in it, so good for him!

-Zac says he's very brave for working in white pleather, but that he pulled it off. YOU KNOW IT.

-She does look young, modern, and hip, as Heidi said, which was a lot due to Amanda's help, but whatever works!

-UGH why do they like Stanley's? Nina likes the capelet (who wears capelets?) and she likes the sequins on the inside. I do not. Like Andrew said, the best thing about it is the veil on her eyes.

-Oh, well, Zac raises the very good point that the capelet evokes Sherlock Holmes, which is appropriate for London. But then again I don't think Stanley did that on purpose.

-Ah, Nina has the same question I did about Layana's sleeves: WHY. She also thinks the look is old fashioned. I don't really agree with that, but it is very covered up. Ohh, Heidi, you're right, it does kinda resemble a housecoat.

-The blouse under the coat is better, and all the judges prefer it. The sleeves also work a lot better outside the jacket.

-Yeah, they don't like Patricia's either. Nina, it looks odd because it IS ODD. They also don't get Paris from it; it is shapeless and dumpy. Yes, Heidi, it is special, but is that what we want? Heidi likes it, but no one else really does. Zac did say that he prefers risks, and she definitely took a risk (as usual).

-Nina calls Michelle's a comeback, and everyone else likes it too. Strangely, it's grown on me the more I've looked at it. And it definitely does look like New York (though Heidi correctly assesses that her ombre effect makes the skirt look dirty.)

-Even though Patricia and Layana did the worst this week, I have no idea who's going to get sent home. The judges are going to look back at the whole season, and this part always makes me nervous. (PLEASE DANIEL PLEASE.)

-Blah blah, discussing all the highs and lows of the season, dragging this episode out for a needless extra half hour. CUT TO THE FREAKING CHASE ALREADY.

-Nina just said that fashion is not art. I, and the other judges, don't really agree with her.

-Basically, Heidi really wants Patricia to be in, and Nina really wants her to be out. This could go either way.

-Stanley is in (yawn), Daniel is in (WOOOOOOOO!), Michelle is in (she annoys me, but it's nice that she made the second chance pay off), and finally... Layana is out and Patricia gets to go to fashion week. On the one hand, everything Patricia makes is cracked out and weird, but on the other hand it's actually kind of refreshing to see her off the wall stuff. I'm not that sad to see Layana go, because her cocky attitude has really started to grate on me. She's young, I'm sure she can bounce back from this. And possibly learn to be less obnoxious.

-Next week: $10,000 to make a 12 look collection, and Tim does home visits. I love the home visit episode.

Answer to last Thursday's song: Can't Stop, by Maroon 5. This song, like 99% of all Maroon 5 songs, is blatantly about sex. Which, of course, is its major appeal.
