I got two new MH ghouls today, one second hand and one brand new. This is the tale of how they met:



Here's Draculaura, fresh out of her box from Big Lots, exploring her new home and wondering where I've put her other two pairs of shoes.



But wait, who's that over there?



Draculaura: Oh my goodness, you're naked!
Clawdeen: The word is 'nude' and yes. My clothes are at my old home.



Draculaura: That will never do. Here, put this on.



Clawdeen: Umm, this is-
Draculaura: Yes, we'll need to find you something better. Let's see what Megan has!



Draculaura: No, no, not this either, no, no, ugh, definitely not...



Draculaura: It's perfect!
Clawdeen: Umm, it's nice, Draculaura, but it's not really my style... Would it be all right if I looked for something on my own?



Clawdeen: Hmm... Ooh, this is nice! It's purple!
Draculaura: Hmph.



Clawdeen: What do you think?
Draculaura: Well...



Draculaura: I love it!!! <3


And they lived (on my shelf) happily ever after.

You found your I ♥ Shoes Lala @ Big Lots?!!?!?! I'm so jealous!!! (I overpaid @ Meijer. Meijer is a Midwestern chain that's supposed to be Walmart-ish but they're waaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive.) SS Clawdeen looks awesome in that outfit you put her in...err, that she put herself in ;) That's one of my favorite Clawdeen's, her hair is so ~lush and silky and I love the color of it.

(I found Catty today! They had 2 @ Walmart: one with good hair/paint but with a box that apparently got run over by a forklift, and one with a pristine box but a big ol' scratch down the side of her face. Pretty obvious which one I bought lol.)

(AND also...have you seen [or looked for...don't know if you're interested in these dolls] the Justice swim dolls *or* Voltageous/Catastrophe in stores? The Justice swim dolls aren't on the website...I keep telling myself I don't need them since that line with Clawdia that's coming out has a Frankie with a blue streak in her hair, which is basically the only reason I wanted the Justice Frankie...I sort of want Rochelle for her cute hair...I don't know whether to get one of off Amazon or drive waaaaaaaay out of my way this week to go to Justice. I never get to Target, so I didn't know if they were only in the early stages of being available or if I should order them from Amazon/Ebay/Target.com.)

Yes, and I totally wasn't expecting to! I had gotten an ad saying that they had the music festival dolls for $10, and since I was thinking of buying some cheaper line with few accessories MH dolls for Andrew's nieces, I went to check those out. The didn't have a single music fest doll, but they did have oodles of both I <3 shoes Lala and Cleo for $15! That was just too good to pass up, even though her glove hands are a little... odd

Congrats on the Catty find! I saw one Catty at a K-Mart a few weeks ago, but I only spotted her after I'd spent like 20 minutes scouring science two packs for one where both girls looks good. I decided it was more worth it to stick with that, than get Catty instead and risk never finding another two pack with two good faces. (Especially since the goggles on Cleo make it hard to see her eyes, and in one case, left an indent on her cheek.)

ANYWAY, I may or may not get her in the future, I still can't decide. It's going to depend a lot on how my dental work goes how much money I have left to spend on dolls, lol.

I found swim Frankie and Rochelle a while back, and bought them while Justice was having some super duper sale on top of the usual 40% off, so each girl was like, $11. (Rochelle is the first doll where I've washed the gunk out of her hair, and it's so soft and it held its shape and YAY!) I've never seen Holt anywhere, except on signs in the store TAUNTING ME.

And I've only had the chance to go to Target once since I heard the new Power Ghouls were out, and all they had was old stuff on clearance... So I'm hopeful that they'll move some new stuff in once that sale's made some room! (And they had a sign with Catty's outline, saying to check back after the 13th, so it seems like she'll be there too.)

Wow that's a great price for those! I didn't think that Big Lots got dolls until they had been out awhile...like the Skull Shores or Roller Maze dolls. I guess I need to start going to Big Lots more often! Her hands *are* odd...and I'd never noticed it in the pics. Are you going to do anything to 'fix' her hands? I saw someone somewhere suggest taking the white cuffs off of Madeline Hatter but they're pearlescent and don't match & I'm afraid to pain them for fear I'd mess them up. When I get time, I think I'm going to go thru all my stuff and find another wide bracelet...I have a wide bracelet on one of her hands & with her hand down, it hides the weird difference between the color of her hand & her arm...makes it look a bit more like gloves than just weird hands lol.

Cool, thanks for the info! Looks like I'm going to have to do some driving Wednesday to Justice & Target and check things out. (Target has Voltageous for $19.99 on their website but they're out of Catastrophe). That's awesome that Rochelle's hair turned out nice (that reminds me, I need to get back to washing hair...I ♥ Cleo's hair is TERRIBLE).

I had no idea I would find them there, especially since our particular Big Lots is... not good. It was totally worth wading through the Christmas trees there to get her too.

Yeah, I don't have any plans to mess with her gloves, other than, as you said, to find her big bracelets. The hand being white isn't the problem as much as the little ball part on the end being white that looks strange.

I looked at Shoes Cleo's hair and shuddered, heh. My science Cleo's bangs are pretty much exactly the same. So much washing needed.
