Please enjoy the following post, which is the first of two Project Runway recap posts that I'm behind on.
The challenge this week was to go to some park in NYC, approach strangers, and convince one of them to get a makeover. This was harder for some designers than others.
The top looks were Emily, Kini, and Korina.
Emily:

This is a little cuckoo, but the woman wearing it and the judges both liked it well enough. It also had great movement.
Kini:

As usual, Kini's look is flawless. I love the accessorizing he did, it flatters her, it's very well made, and I love how he used frayed denim around the neckline to give it a little fringe-y, lacy feel. Beautiful. I think he should have won.
Korina:

This is well made, but it left me cold. Blue motorcycle jacket, see it. Fringe, seen it. I do like the color combo though. Korina was the winner, and it made her even more insufferable than usual.
The bottom looks were Amanda, Char, and Alexander.
Amanda:

The judges didn't love this, but I think it's all right. They thought it would be better if the vest were shorter, but I think it would have been better if the dress were longer. In any case, Amanda was safe.
Char:

Oh Char. I love you, but this is just a hot mess. Her model was a Kindergarten teacher, and this look is just wholly inappropriate for that kind of woman. The judges liked the color, but no one, myself included, liked that peplum ruffle thing.
Alexander:

Alexander has struggled a lot this season, and I honestly didn't expect him to make it this far. While this look is better than his first attempt (which Tim Gunn legit called 'hideous', something he's never done before) it's still pretty bad. It was also pinned/taped together in the back, and so he was eliminated.
