Dear Arrow,
I love this show, I really do, and I loved the season finale. But, after seeing the season premiere, please, two things:
1. Stop trying to pair Oliver and Felicity. It feels like forced, unnecessary fan service, it makes no sense with Oliver's charaterization in the past two seasons (where he's deeply in love with Laurel) and Felicity needs to remain the one (non-related) female on this show who Oliver hasn't slept with. The beauty of their relationship is that she finds him hot, but she's a partner in fighting crime, not a love interest. It diminishes her to make her one. I'm not opposed to a romance for Felicity, just not one with Oliver.
2. STOP KILLING OFF WOMEN. One of your strong points is the women on this show, in all their awesome glory, so stop killing them off! You didn't even kill Slade, the big bad villain from last season who definitely deserved to die, but you have Sara die in the premiere? Sara who was already safely written off, so she didn't need to bite it if you didn't want her around anymore. And if you must keep killing women, stop making it the driving force behind the rest of the plot. There's more to super-heroing than avenging the deaths of loved ones, and I hate how you keep killing women to create Oliver's man-pain. STOP IT.
P.S. I am 100% here for Brandon Routh and seeing Thea become Thea Malcolm instead of Thea Queen. More of that, please, and less of the fridging women. Thank you!
