leia131Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to make an Earth-shattering announcement:
I have a job.
I've never had one before.
I'm working in the office of the John A. Russell Corporation, doing whatever they need done. (It's a lot like what I used to do when I volunteered at the hospital, only I'm getting PAID.) I only work 9-1 Monday-Friday, so I still have oodles of free time... *insert subtle hint here*
So since I start Monday, Mom and I are going shopping tomorrow to get me some decent work clothes. Hellz yeah.
Oh, but today I filled in for the receptionist all day... Most boring thing EVER. All the people are nice, but when the phone's not ringing... I also maintain that a well trained monkey could do this job, but I don't think he'd know what to do with the money. Pay his trainer probably.
And Another Announcement: I found a good use for speed bumps today. Fuck slowing cars down, this is so much more effective.
When you're walking across the parking lot to your car in your cute red shoes, (a la Dorothy) that absorb water like cute red sponges, and it's pouring rain and there's a puddle the size of Tennessee between you and your vehicle, what do you use for a bridge?

I also blame spellcheck. When you have that, no one bothers to learn how to spell anymore.

Receptionist is an okay job... I've assisted my stepmom who's a bookkeeper which also means she is the secretary (as well as my dad's gf) and it's less boring than working in quickbooks. Too many fake phone manners though.
