I Now Present To You:
Jul. 18th, 2007 11:17 pmOk. Here's what we know:
The first thing that happens is Inuyasha and Kikyo meet, fall in love, and form a plan. The plan is for Inuyasha to use the Shikon Jewel to become fully human, which will serve the double purpose of allowing him to be with Kikyo, and purifying the jewel so Kikyo doesn't have to protect it anymore and can live her own life. With Inuyasha. And they will do the sex.
We also know that the last thing that happens is that Kikyo staggers back to her villiage, dies of her injuries, failing to use the Shikon Jewel to save herself, (as per Naraku's evil plan) and is buried along with it.
Alright. So the problem I have is the order of the events in the middle. They are as follows.
-Naraku, in the form of Kikyo, attacks Inuyasha with arrows.
-Naraku, in the form of Inuyasha, attacks Kikyo, fatally wounds her, and takes the Shikon Jewel from her.
-The real Inuyasha steals the jewel from Kikyo's villiage, intending to use it to become a full demon, because he believes that Kikyo has betrayed him.
-The real Kikyo, injured (I think), pins Inuyasha to a tree with her super-special-awesome arrow, (where he remains for the next 50 years till Kagome frees him), because she thinks he has betrayed her.
The only thing that doesn't add up if you take the events in the above order is the jewel. If Kikyo brought it to the field where she met Naraku, and he took it from her, how did it get back to the villiage for Inuyasha to steal it?

This has been bothering me forever. I'm such a dork.
