If you are a teacher, and you want me to write a paper, and you expect my paper to be free of spelling and grammar errors, know that I expect the same from you.

This sentence "Papers, not more than 3 typed pages, will be do at the last class meeting," makes me want to hurt you. If it was the first example of your horrid grammar on handouts, then I would let it go. But there's something like this on every single handout, and on all your in-class slides. It makes it very difficult for me to take you seriously.

And it's not even a typo. It's... Well, it's a mistake a 60 year old man should not be making.




P.S. It's Bill Weasley's Birthday today. Yay!

Thank you, god. I agree with you whole-heartedly. And may I add that we need to stop the problem at the source. People who want to be teachers should be monitored for a year.
I'm getting really terrified by people who say they want to be teachers, but don't have a simple grasp on the English language. Seriously. They're going to be teaching our youth? Sheesh. I know I told you about a teacher's aide at our school who told us near graduation, "You better make sure your grades are good, otherwise you won't graduate. So make sure you get a tutor to check that your grammars are good in all your papers. . ." She was the same woman who had an ad for Cirque du Soleil RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER and read it as, "Circus Del Solis . . . no, wait . . . Circus Del So-Leeeel."
And now she's a teacher.
Do you think she's better or worse than Father Mac?
