Angus (the cat) from Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging (and it's sequels.) kelliann1388
1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
I like Angus. He's a holy terror, but he really loves Georgia. And he lets Libby dress him up in absurd clothes. Because that is just what cats do for small children.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Not really, but then again there isn't much of a plot to these books.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
Erm, he's a cat, so not really. But I do relate to Georgia's love for him. I love my Remy and he is my baby, even though he's a bit standoffish. The way cats are. And when he was lost she was distraught, and if Remy were lost I would cry. A lot.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
Quite a bit. I own all the books, and they cheer me up when I'm down. Cause Georgia's just so ludicrous.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance or platonic)
... I ship him with Naomi? Can you ship non-anthropomorphised animals?
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
Nope. Angus is perfect just the way he is. Even after he loses his trouser-snake addendums.
7) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how do you see yourself interacting with him/her? (Would you get along well? Fall in love with? Dislike? Friendly rivalry? etc etc)
I would probably be terrified of him, but try to pet him just the same.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
Sadly no. I like Angus, but he's not my favorite. I think Dave the Laugh is actually my favorite character. Oh, and Rosie.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about (if you dislike) to someone whose new to the fandom?
I'd hype up Angus like this: He tends to bring live animals into the house and then leave the uneaten bits of them in Georgia's bed.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
I have no idea. Sure.
Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars (siriusly_sex)
1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
You know, never really thought about it. I like him as a bad guy, but he's just so gross and gelatinous... I don't really like him in and of himself.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes. If Han didn't owe him money, he never would have agreed to take Ben and Luke to Alderaan, and who knows what would have happened instead? And then, it's because of that same debt that Han gets frozen in carbonite and they have to go save him, which is the plot for half of Empire and Jedi.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
No. Definately not. I like it when Leia finally kills the bastard.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
A lot. I don't geek about Star Wars that much on my lj (that is, not as much as Harry Potter) but I really do like it. I've seen the movies a billion times, and I've read a bunch of the books, and I know all the random trivia, and I like it a lot.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance or platonic)
No. Jabba doesn't really have much of an intriguing relationship with anyone.

Him being badly computer animated in all movies other than Jedi.

I would probably take the Leia route and try to kill him. :)

Han Solo (also from Star Wars, also fromsiriusly_sex)
1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
I LOVE HAN SOLO. He is the shit. He's a bad-ass, but really, he's good. Deep inside. He's the best part of Star Wars, and he's witty even in the face of imminent death. He's a good friend and a good lover. :)
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes yes and yes. He saves Luke's ass at least three times, he's one of the main characters, he comes up with the plan that destroys the shield generator in Endor... He's quite important.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
Yes. I love my Han. I hate it when he's frozen in Carbonite, and being tortured, and everthing else. I'm happy when he's happy. Especially when he gets with Leia at the end.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
Still a lot. In fact, see my username.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance or platonic)
Han/Leia baby! In fact, I've been meaning to re-read The Courtship of Princess Leia where they get married at the end.

Hell to the no. Han is the definition of awesome. I would rather change other characters to be more like him.

Oh, I would be so in love with him. Though I'd have to fight Leia, and I'm pretty sure she could kick my ass.

YES. He is my favorite Star Wars character.

And YES, Han is totally the best reason to get into Star Wars. I mean, psh, Luke? Vader? Nothing in comparison to Han. And Leia, because she totally kicks ass, you're right.
