Today is the day that the Titanic hit the iceberg in 1912. It didn't actually sink until the 15th, because it was at some ungodly hour of the morning, but it hit the thing today.

In a related story, I have never seen the beginning of Titanic. I've only seen the end with all the good parts, including, but not limited to: Kate Winslet's boobs, sex in a car, and the actual smashing of the ship into the giant wall of ice.

And I've seen the part where Horatio Hornblower rescues Kate Winslet from atop the floating door (complete with frozen Jack!) about 700 times.




This concludes my pointless post of pointlessness.

We were talking about the Titantic in Philosophy the other day:
Professor: What caused the Titanic to sink?
Student 1: An iceberg.
Student 2: Arrogance.
Student 3: Water?

I've only seen the movie once, when I was ten, and I've never seen the whole thing, because my mom and my dad closed me and my brother's eyes when the naked drawing came around. Well, it was more like me and my brother closed our eyes, and my mom and dad laughed and helped us keep them shut. We saw the sex part, but we didn't really know what the hell was going on, XD

I think my parents watched it when I was younger, but I hd no interest in it at all. :)

I was 11 when I saw Titanic. My mom had explained sex to me, but I didn't really get how it worked until I saw Jack and Rose in the car. My thought process was "oh, they face each other. I get it."

That aside, really good movie. I think it says something about me that I like it more for the historical commentary (a lot of True Factz in it) than the Jack/Rose deal.

Yeah, I kind of do too. The love story's nice and all, but lets see how badly they treated the Irish!

But only having see the latter half, it's mostly focused on Rose and Jack. And Rose's boobs.

BUT- have you seen the boat sinking to the tune of "The Final Countdown?" Cause if you haven't, you should. It's freaking hilarious.
