OK. Can anyone explain the Harry/Draco ship to me? I mean I guess I see that people who like it are thinking it could be a love/hate relationship, but honestly IT COULD NEVER HAPPEN! Draco hates Harry, and vice-versa. There is no love there. And, I'm pretty sure Harry is straight. And, even if he were gay, why in Hell would he go to Draco? And I'm pretty sure that homosexuality is as unacceptable to a pureblood family as half and mud bloods are. Therefore, even if Draco had gay tendencies, which I frankly do not see at all, he would most likely hide and/or deny them. And once again, even if he did not, HE WOULD NOT GO WITH HARRY! (Maybe the shippers think he is so mean because has to hide his feelings? Or because he is attracted to Harry? I don't find that very likely. Actually, that does seem to be the most plausible explanation. Hmmm.) I think Draco is a rather confused boy, in terms of good and evil, and I find it entirely possible that he is not all bad, and it is conceivable that he is just over run with jealousy and a horrible upbringing, but him and Harry is as unlikely as Snape and Harry. Oh, God, there's probably a ship for that too. Fuck.

Can't people just have nice plausible ships like Remus/Sirius? Ron/Hermione? Harry/Ginny? Hell, even Harry/Hermione is more likely than Harry/Draco. Or, why can't they have ships that have little or no basis in canon, but also have little or no reason for them not to be? Like Lupin/Tonks or well anyone and Neville or Luna? Why? What is wrong with these people?

Argh. I need to write my fic that explores Draco's character. That plot bunny has been after me, but I have not had time. Rest assured though, that Draco is straight and NOT WITH HARRY! Maybe if I write it I will understand better. But I doubt it.
