Guys, I finally broke down.

For like, weeks, maybe even months, every time I've gone to Wal-Mart I have resisted buying this doll. I just didn't like the look of her, the color palette of her makeup wasn't my thing, I didn't need another cat... And yet, every time I would go and stare at her and think, "Someday, she's going to be impossible to find, and I'm going to suddenly change my mind about her and want her (like I did with Spectra) and not be able to find her and regret not buying her when she was plentiful and ARGH." So I finally just said fuck it and bought her.


Please enjoy my two Disney Animator dolls propping up my latest MH addition, Caterine DeMew.

I don't know, I guess I just couldn't talk myself out of her anymore. She's a new character! New characters are exciting! She is pretty, her art is gorgeous, and I really REALLY like her shoes (yeah, all right, so the shoes are totally what got me. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be). The colors have grown on me, and my family used to have an all white cat, so it was really just a matter of time.

I haven't opened her yet, but I wanted to ask: Do any of you have Caterine? What do you think? Do you like her? The one I got spoke to me, because she seems to have a softer look around her eyes than others I've seen. I think it's because of how her eyebrows are screened. (Andrew thinks I'm crazy, but I swear they're at a less severe angle than those of the other Caterines I've looked at.) Has anyone else noticed this, or am I actually, in fact, crazy?

I don't have her, but I've been scouring the Walmarts in my area for her! I'm so jealous that she's plentiful elsewhere lol.

Thank you! They made them for all 10 princesses, but Belle is definitely the cutest. (Don't tell anyone in the Ariel circle that I said that...)


If you get really desperate, I can pick up a Caterine for you. They've all had relatively good faces, though some of their hair has been wacky.

I'd never seen them before! I totally want that Pocahontas, she looks like she needs a hug. n_n I'll have to look for them at some point, though I feel like Scottie will be concerned about where I'll put them. hehe

Thank you, I'll keep that in mind! I'm still hoping to find her locally, though at this moment I can't afford to get her even if I did see her. n_n'

I have such a problem with Walmart exclusives here! I was dragging Scottie to stores for ages to find Cupid, and I never found her. I ended up getting her loose in an ebay lot! After that I did find the V2.0 in the store, but only one and only once. o_O

I know! I got Pocahontas because she looked so sad, I just wanted to hug her. Belle looks like she's going to put salt in your sugar shaker or something. I think the best part about them is the tiny versions of their friends that they have.

I'm sorry you have such rotten luck with Wal-Mart! I'm pretty blessed that our area has all the stores that carry exclusives, and they usually seem to stock them.

I have Catrine :) This was a no-hesitation buy for me, I just thought she was really cute. I like that her outfit could actually translate into an outfit for a real person. I was a bit concerned that her color palette was a weeeeee bit too close to Spectra's, but I've gotten over that & just don't put any Spectra's near her on display lol. The only issue I have with her is that her hair is as HARD AS A ROCK. It was tough finding one that had nice looking bangs/side curls (luckily the store had a ton to choose from when I bought her), but I was surprised at how stiff the rest of her hair was. And of course, with the sort-of-elaborate hair style she has, I don't want to wash any of it for fear of messing it up. (Also, randomly, her tail stays in TONS better than my Toralei's does.)

I actually really like her outfit, I'm just not crazy about it on her? I guess? I don't know, and I still haven't had a chance to open her and mess around with it.

I suspect her hair is going to be like a helmet, and I totally know what you mean about picking through them to find the right one. The one I got has a small lip rub, but it's barely noticeable and I was willing to live with that in exchange for her curls looking decent.

When I finally get her out of her plastic prison, I'll have to see how the tail goes. I don't usually have a problem with Toralei's staying in, but Jinafire's... OY.

I see what you mean about her outfit. It's sort of too dark for her. Perhaps if the black was more gray...? I would just really like to have a tee for myself like the one she's wearing lol!

I don't think I've had any problems with Jinafire's tail, but Toralei's has become a bit of a joke in my famiy. When my brother was measuring & installing that giant shelf he built me for my dolls, he had to deal with the way I had dolls perched on every available surface at that time. He said they’re like dominoes: you bump one & they all fall over. At one point, Toralei fell over & her tail fell out & onto the floor. He was putting the dolls back & picked up her tail & didn’t know what it was. I got home that night & noticed her tail around the neck/shoulders of one of the other girls and was like WTFFFFFFFFFFF? I asked him about it & he said he couldn’t figure out what it was & thought it was either a snake or a “weird fashion accessory” so he put it on one of the dolls as a stoll! His face was priceless when I told him it was a tail. (Which reminds me, he promised to Gorilla Glue her tail in for me, gonna have to take him up on that lol.)

He's totally right, btw, they are EXACTLY like dominoes. It's because their hair makes them all so top heavy.

That is the most hilarious story! Sounds like something Andrew would have done back when I first started collecting... now he's sort of been reluctantly well educated. :D
