In the week since last episode, I've totally forgotten what this week's theme was going to be.

-Laney wants to win a challenge, apparently, which I am behind. :D

-The lab is dark, McKenzie is spotlighted, and now she's babbling about the circus. This is going to be an awesome challenge, I can already tell, because we're opening with acrobats and stilt walkers and shit.

-Cirque Berzerk is apparently a thing, which Tate has heard of (that makes one of us) and they're the sexy, dark, punk rock version of a circus. All right then.

-Working in teams of two, the contestants have to create a dark and sexy alien circus performer. Why alien? Because.

-They're allowed to choose their teammates, which I like better than it being random like it is on Project Runway. That just manufactures drama, which, thankfully, Face Off tries to avoid.

-During the reveal, the 'models' who are actually circus performers, will be performing. So, you know, the looks the contestants create will have to be flexible and stay on and allow movement. This is going to be interesting.

-The teams are: Tate and Frank (punk chick), Roy and Laura (animal trainer), Laney and Alana (ringmaster, literally), Eddie and Miranda (contortionist who lures others in to be performers).

-The contestants get to watch video of their selected models so they can see what each performer has to do during his or her act, which is EXCELLENT for knowing what they should design.

-Everyone is making jokes about Tate's smushed fingers, including him. Poor Tate. I'm pretty sure, even though they're aired a week apart, that this is only a day or two after his trip to the ER... So I'm glad everyone can be so jovial about it.

-Mr. Westmore is here to give advice! Tate agrees to not put anything sharp or pointy on the performers, which will likely only end in tears, Laura's sculpt isn't sexy or smooth enough, and Laney and Alana should work with the hair on their model rather than try to hide it. Miranda and Eddie don't get a critique, I guess.

-"If Michael Westmore says do it, you listen." Truer words were never spoken, Laura.

-Laney and Alana are going for something tree froggy. They think the bright paint job is fun, I think Ve is going to disagree. They've also decided to use the model's dreads as a mohawk on the alien's head.

-Miranda's sculpt looks too much like something from Hellboy, which I've never seen, but I think I agree based on the picture they showed. Not so much like it that it looks like a rip off, but the similarity is still there. She solves this by splitting the 'crown' part into two sections.

-Tate is staying out of the mold room due to his injury. LOL

-Alana is worried that the scales look too fish like, and is questioning Laney. Alana, honey, you've been in the bottom a lot, and Laney has been on the bottom... Oh that's right, NEVER. I know you're the veteran, but still. Only one of you has ever been eliminated from this show, and it wasn't Laney.

-Oh dear, Roy has been screwed over by polyfoam again. If I had a nickle for every time that's happened to me...

-Ooh, Tate, I like that mohawk looking thing you're painting!

-Application time! There are bald caps and boobies everywhere.

-This process must be SO WEIRD for the circus performers, because they're not used to getting this kind of makeup done.

-Alana and Laney are fighting over their edges, because I guess Alana was eliminated for something similar last time; I didn't watch her original season, so I don't know. She needs to stop being so obnoxious though. I used to like her, but her being so worried and negative all the time, especially at Laney, is pissing me off. Also, Laney keeps asking what Alana wants her to do, when Alana implies (quite passive aggressively, I might add) that she doesn't like what Laney's done/is doing, but Alana never has an answer. SO FRUSTRATING.

-Also, every time Laney agrees to do what Alana wants (like scrap the cowl, which Laney spent all her time on) Alana then hems and haws and hesitates over it. You don't have time for that nonsense, Alana, you have to make decisions and go with them. Laney is willing to sacrifice her piece for the greater good, and she is trying SO HARD to make Alan happy, and to make a good look, and GAH. She had better not go home over your bullshit, Alana.

-Time for the reveal!

-Laura and Roy's looks like it might be hard to breathe in, and the 'parasite' on his chest looks a little cartoony, but the paint job is amazing and it's a very unique creature.

-Conversely, the paint job on Alana and Laney's is not good, especially around the face, but his overall look with the top hat is neat. P.S. I LOVE what Laney is wearing.

-Eddie and Miranda's is my favorite so far. The sculpt is phenomenal, and the paint job is so subtle and cool. I think this is the first thing Eddie's done that I've actually liked, which is probably mostly because of Miranda.

-The face of Tate and Frank's looks a little like a potato, but not in a bad way? This one is definitely punk rock, which is what they were going for, and all the piercings and little details are really excellent.

-During the circus performance, nothing went wrong that I could see, Laney and Alana's dude looked AWESOME on his ring with his dreads flying free, so losing the cowl was probably the right decision after all, and I don't think I was imagining that the performers seemed a little hesitant... It has to be harder to see with big facial prosthetics on, as well as them not being used to performing with all that added weight.

-Up close, the judges don't seem to love anyone's except Miranda and Eddie's. Whatever, that one is clearly the best, I agree. They do also like Tate and Frank's, though they have some issues with it in the midsection.

-The fact that the model is super thin and tall definitely helps with the overall look that Miranda and Eddie were going for. Also, Miranda's head sculpt is 100 times better than Eddie's chest sculpt, JSYK.

-OK, here we go with Laney and Miranda. The judges do not like it, saying it doesn't look sexy or like an alien. Hattrick says it looks goofy, and I agree. They also, as I knew they would, do not like the paint job.

-Ooh, the judges don't really like the parasite on the chest of Roy and Laura's. Hattrick likes the sculpt and the paint, though. Neville is also unimpressed with the parasite, but I have to say that the judges had more good to say about this one than Laney and Alana's.

-Eddie and Miranda are the winning team (obviously) and since there can only be one winner (for some reason. I mean, you made up the rules of this show, and there's no prize associated with winning this week's challenge, so there could totally be two winners. Not that I want Eddie to win.) it's Miranda. I agree 100% with this decision. She told Eddie that she couldn't have done it without him, and that I do not agree with. OWN that shit, honey!

-Alana and Laney are the only bottom look, which is not really surprising to me. I hate to say it, because she's already crying, but Alana needs to go home. She's been in the bottom like, the last three weeks in a row, and I blame her entirely for this crappy look.

-The judges must have too, because Alana is out. OMFG, Laney is so upset, she is crying harder than Alana, and I can't handle it. :( :( :( I mean, I feel bad for Alana too, but, as Tim Gunn would say, I agree with the judges.

-Aww, Neville is so nice to Alana, and everyone who gets eliminated. I love how encouraging they are on this show, even when people do a major fail.

-The preview for next week... Was the same preview they showed last week. Which means it was for the episode I just watched. WTF Syfy, WTF.

ETA: Pictures are now up!
