Will someone please tell me why Mattel released all the new lines of MH dolls ALL AT ONCE? How am I supposed to choose which ones to spend my limited monies on?

Also, I'm a little disappointed in how the Sweet Screams dolls look in person. I'm not sure why, but they just put me off somehow. And their promo pics were so stunning... Alas.

I don't think I know any songs about Australian states... (is state even the right word?) And I had to look up Waltzing Matilda after you mentioned it in one of your posts. At least I know Land Down Under?

I don't think we really have any state based songs (yes state is correct mostly...we have six states and two territories. Please don't ask me to explain the differences :P)

Of course we know most songs from America. Our media is flooded by American media.

Ugh I'm so bummed to hear that the Sweet Screams are disappointing in person :( I have yet to see any of the new dolls other than a Lights!Camera!Action! Clawdeen (which isn't on my 'want' list). My Walmart keeps putting out SWEET 16 of all things, it's ridiculous!

I wasn't expecting to find anything, because I've been checking Wal-Mart pretty regularly and striking out. Then we went to Target last night (for unrelated reasons) and they had almost the whole FCA line, including most of the new characters, Sweet Screams, some of the new fearleading dolls (no Slo Moe though), the dance class five-pack, Art Class, and the one I ended up buying, Voltageous. Plus, you know, the Picture Day dolls and other assorted older stuff.

I ended up with Voltageous because I've been looking for her the longest, and she was the only Power Ghouls doll they had right then, and she's a Target exclusive and I was at Target... I'm hoping this was the right decision and I'll be able to get others later.

I would think you would be able to find the others later on. The only other exclusives (I think) are the Sweet Screams and with the Art Class/new fearleaders/FCA being new releases that haven't hit everywhere yet (they don't even have tags by the empty shelf space for new ones at the stores I've been to). *fingers crossed for you*

Do the Art Class girls look good in person or did you get a good look at them?

I did get a good look at Art Class, because I'd seem them at TRU before Christmas, but waited because I was poor, lol. I think they look pretty nice. Abbey's outfit doesn't wow me (it's like they're run out of ideas with her and do the same things over and over) but I love her tiny chainsaw and the ice sculpture of Heath is adorable and amazing.

Robecca's the one I want the most; her shirt and dress are adorable, but her boots look a lot like the ones that came in her fashion pack, only bigger. For some reason both she and the Draculauras I've seen have had serious eye issues (Lala usually looks stoned, I dunno what's up with her tiny eyes, and them always being screened too high on her face). I do like Lala's outfit though, and her hair. I'm not opposed to the yellow, though I know a lot of other people are.

Haven't seen any Skelitas, and honestly forgot she was part of this line until I Googled it just now, lol.

Also, I meant to say this earlier: Sweet Screams are amazing in terms of outfits and shoes; there's just an amazing level of molding and detail. But there's just something about their faces, I think it's that they made the eyes even bigger than usual, that was putting me off. They look... I don't know, almost vacant in the face, which is a weird thing to complain about in a doll, but it's true. You can kinds see it in this picture (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7289/11556372765_c37a58281e_o.jpg) where she looks like she's being mind controlled, or is going to eat your soul or something.

Apparently I had a lot of thoughts, lol.

Oooh, I'm glad to hear that...I wasn't excited for the Art Class line when they were first revealed @ Comic-Con but the more I looked at them, the more I liked them. (I've decided to pass up Abbey, though, for the reason you stated: her outfit. She seems to be wearing the same thing all the time and I'm trying to only get dolls that are noticeably different from past dolls, if that makes sense...i.e. Frankies/Lalas with different colored streaks in their hair, that sort of thing.)

I don't mind the yellow mixed in with Lala, either. (Says the chick who loves the color combo of orange & pink lol.) The Forbitten Love Lala with the yellow happens to be my favorite Lala.

HOLY WOW you're right about her scary eyes. They're even more terrifying on her diary/booklet. Yikes. They should've made them glow in the dark like Twyla's lol j/k.

Right? Like how many short dresses with fur accents and shaped ice boots can one girl own? Give her some long skirts, or skirts at all, or even some loose pants! (I say, because her I <3 Fashion doll came with skintight pants that are impossible to get on her rough, glittery legs.) And any shoes that aren't boots would be a change.

I know exactly what you mean about different dolls. If a doll looks too much like another version of herself, I hold out and try to buy just the stock (if I like it, obviously).

Forbitten Love Lala is beautiful and I love her. It's a subtle yellow, you know?

It's just creepy. Like, the loli thing kinda creeps me out anyway, and then they went all the way with these two... Frankie is slightly less terrifying, and she has really cool striped lips, so I'll probably get her eventually.

YES. I love to see any of them in proper pants, which is why I was so happy to get Scaremester Jinafire for Christmas. (I would also like to have her shiny red pants in my dresser, even though I'm not nearly the right shape to wear them.)
