Guess what? It's finally time for the Face Off results post!

This week's challenge was to take an ancient wonder, and make the alien that might have built it, or inspired humanity to do so. And Ve was back as a judge!

The top looks were made by Sasha, Keaghlan (she of the blue eyebrows), and Stella. Also, SyFy doesn't have close up shots in their gallery this week for some reason.

Sasha, Peruvudaiyar Kovil look:

The judges really liked how Sasha worked with her model's GIANT eyes (seriously, those eyes are all model and very little makeup) and they loved the use of jewelry. The designers who worked with the culture of their ancient wonder seemed to do the best, and Sasha was all over that.

 Keaghlan, Giza Necropolis look:

Again, the judges really liked any look that referenced the culture which it was based on. The alien having a head shaped like a pharaoh's hat, and a chin shaped like the pharaoh's beard, and with cat-like facial features, was therefore perfect. They also loved her paint job, which didn't translate well in this picture. The mouth on this one bothers me a little, but overall it's a great look.

Stella, Peruvudaiyar Kovil look:

Stella was the winner, and Hetrick said something along the lines of, "There are so many things here that shouldn't work, but you made them work. We've never seen anything like this before, and it succeeds on every level." That's pretty much the highest praise I've ever heard from him, so go Stella! The judges especially liked the henna on the hands and the elaborate neck piece.

The bottom looks were Damien, Doc, and Gwen.

Damien, Giza Necropolis look:

I actually quite liked this look, and don't think it deserved to be in the bottom. The judges didn't like the shapes on the face, and (unluckily for Damien) Ve was there to tell him how crappy his paint job was. I still like it. *shrug*

Doc, Easter Island look:

This, on the other hand, definitely belonged on the bottom. He has, like a doughnut vagina on his head, and the paint is monochromatic and boring. Also, nothing about this look, except the statue he's holding, conveys Easter Island.

Gwen, Stonehenge look:

Gwen was eliminated, and you can see why. Given, she did have issues with her chest piece, and spent a lot of her time trying to fix it (and then ended up hiding it when all her patching still looked awful) but the judges' real problem with this was that it didn't look alien enough, and it didn't look like it had anything to do with Stonehenge. This may be because Gwen at one point said something about the vikings building Stonehenge, so it's possible she didn't do her research. It also kind of looks like she didn't paint his face, and what she did paint is sloppy.

Project Runway tonight, woo! Look for that post soon. :D
