Anyone with any kind of icon making skill whatsoever want to make me a Face Off icon? I cannot find one to use for these posts. Preferably of Queen Laura, but almost anything would be good.

This week was the hardest challenge ever on Face Off, imo, wherein the designers had to make THEMSELVES into superheroes, with only an application assistant at the very end to help. I can't even.

Emily, I'm pretty sure because she was uncomfortable being on stage and exhibiting herself, as it were, faltered a bit with this and was on the bottom, but she didn't go home. I'm just going to state that up front, because I was super nervous.

They also continued their weird way of doing things where they only have two top looks and two bottom looks. I don't know why.

Adam, Crimson Wave:

This look was 100% the most super hero-esque, and I think he should have won because of that. He also incorporated the red mohawk he always has into the look, which I (and Ve) thought was clever. I mean, he spent ages making all the new armor he had created look battle-scarred, and I appreciate that.

Logan, Slayer:

I mean, this is impressive too, but I think it won because it was more work. He's some kind of dragon hybrid, and Logan made these epic wings (that you can't really see, of course) that had great movement and impressed the judges. They also liked his facial sculpt.

Emily, who apparently didn't name her character:

I didn't hate this, but the judges didn't think it was very super hero-y. Glenn referred to it as "Marge Simpson crossed with Poison Ivy" and of course now that's all I can see. Still, her painting on her own face was great, even if the overall concept wasn't the best, and at least it looks nice and shows a lot of work. I legit think she was uncomfortable being in the spotlight, and her lack of confidence lead to her slouching/trying to make herself smaller, which in turn made the hair look worse than it is (since it tipped forward) and detracted from the earth goddess she wanted to be. Or maybe I'm just biased because I like her.

Closer shot of Emily's face:

Stephanie, Dollface:

Stephanie had trouble with this challenge from the start, with not knowing what she wanted to do, and that never ends well. I think she was supposed to be some kind of half demon or something, but the paint color came out horribly, and the minimal appliance she used on her face does, as Ve astutely noted, look exactly like the one Kiefer Sutherland wears in The Lost Boys (that is, it looks like something they've seen 100 times before). So she went home, which was sad, because I like her too.

And here's Stephanie trying to paint her own face:

The more she tried to fix it, the worse it became. :(  Hopefully they don't make the contestants ever have to do this again.
