There was a point earlier tonight where I promised some people I'd be off doing something productive... And I wrote a ficlet thing! It's 191 words, so it's like 2 drabbles...

While it isn't really a sequel or prequel to Tender, it fits into the same universe. I think. Yeah it does.

And I wrote this because I was feeling that Peter is a severly underappreciated Marauder.

Comments are welcome, and here goes!

No one ever knew that Peter did it.

Remus never knew that, when Peter borrowed his Transfiguration notes, he found the letter Remus was never going to send to Sirius.

But Peter wasn’t stupid, and he knew what it meant.

Sirius never knew that, late at night when he was careless and feeling lonely, the chubby blonde boy in the next bed could hear the name he whispered into the deaf night.

But Peter had ears, and he knew what that whisper signified.

Remus never knew who sent him the note saying, "He feels the same. Talk to him."

Sirius never knew that his date the night he decided to confess to Remus canceled because Peter threatened to hex him into next week.

Although Peter knew that Remus and Sirius belonged together, no one ever knew that he was responsible for getting them that way.

Years later, as he sat alone in the Prison of Azkaban, Sirius never knew why Peter had betrayed the Potters.

And years after that, as he sat alone in the prison of his mind, Remus never knew that when Peter heard of Sirius’ death, he cried.

I hope you liked it!
