Ok, this whole marketing campaign for the new Clone Wars movie is really annoying me. I have no problem with them making the movie itself (Ok, I have a little problem, because um, didn't we already go over the events of the Clone Wars? I'm pretty sure we did.) but they're marketing it to five year olds, at the expense of the rest of us.

I just saw an ad where Anakin handed a toy to a kid. There's one or two where they glorify the Clone Troopers. Did these people see Revenge of the Sith? Did they miss the part where the Clone Troopers become the Storm Troopers, and were more or less under Palpatine's control the entire time? And Anakin + kids = NO. He killed the younglings, remember?

I realize that this movie is geared toward kids more than any of the other Star Wars things were, but it would be nice if they remembered that they have a large number of older fans too. And, you know, stop lauding the Clone Troopers. Being one of those is not exactly what should be high on a kid's career list.

Chef Tony: Ok, yes, perhaps your knives are capable of cutting a pineapple in half in midair, but WHY ON EARTH WOULD A PERSON EVER NEED TO DO THAT? What possible turn of events could lead to airborn fruits needing to be sliced in half? (Ok, now this is reminding me of Hannah and her doodles of flying pineapples. But they were benevolent pineapples, and not in need of being cut in half.)

Made: So, I'm watching this right now, and there's this dorky guy who has a room full of stuffed animals, and he wants to win this school pageant thing, and get girls, and you know, typical high school boy stuff. So, the beauty queen who's coaching him told him to donate all his toys to charity to get rid of them, because a girl would not be impressed by his room. I disagree ma'am. You just have to find the right girl.

I don't know why I watch this show, it always pisses me off. But I am firmly of the belief that you don't need to change who you are (if it's something like collecting stuffed animals, not something like being a serial killer) in order to get dates. There is someone who will like you just the way you are, you just have to find him/her.

Though if you want to change, by all means, go for it. But don't let anyone tell you you HAVE to. (Unless, you know, you are a serial killer, in which case, maybe you should listen to those people.)

On another note, I'm going to visit Andrew today, and not coming back until Sunday, so don't look for me!
