Jan. 14th, 2007 12:38 amYou know, I miss the days when SNL was actually funny.
In fact, it's gone beyond not funny at this point; I don't even know what they're trying to make jokes about. It's not only not funny, it's barely comprehensible.
I'm only watching it right now because Jake Gyllenhal is the host, and quite frankly I could be watching this on mute and still enjoy looking at him.
On the other hand, the magician I saw at the Paramount tonight was HYSTERICAL. His name was Mike Super, and he was truly amazing. His tricks were extremely well executed, and he was cute and funny and just ridiculously entertaining. And I think he was gay, but that's beside the point. (No straight man wears 1. A shirt like that, even if he is a magician 2. That much eye makeup in his promo photos.)
He made up his own word, but I forget what it is. I'll go back to his website (www.mikesuper.com) tomorrow and find out.
Oh, and apparantly he has a TV show coming out later this year, so that's cool. I saw a celebrity in the making! Whee!!
