So I saw Van Helsing yesterday.

It was ok, but I didn't like the ending.

And it was so contrived. Van Helsing just happens to turn into the one and only thing that can kill Dracula, and just in time too? Give me a break.

I heart Carl though. (Which elf is Faramir, the jerk or the noble one? I can't remember. See, the same actor plays Carl. I think he was the jerk who was picking on Gollum, but I could be wrong.)

I think the problem with the movie was that I wanted Dracula to win. He was 10 times cooler than Van Helsing, and he had a good point. "We never take more than we need to survive, and yet they hate us." Also, Anna's family started it with the whole "We won't rest until we KILL YOU" thing. So I feel more sympathy for Dracula than for her. I don't think that was quite what the movie-makers intended.

Ah, but sadly it's true. I really like vampires in movies and books and such. I'm doomed.

I know. I've seen part of the version with Keanu Reeves, and I loved it. I wanna see the whole thing. Are there other versions?

Yeah I knew he was coming back. I talked to his mother around December and she told me he'd be coming back eventually.

So it's not so very much of a shock.

ok im gonna sound like a total LOTR geek, but i am.
faramir is a man, not an elf, though to tell the truth, the lines are fuzzy. he's the brother of boromir. the only reason i remember that is because the names are similar. boromir is the jerk who tries to take the ring from frodo. and faramir doesn't like gollum but in the end i think he is fair. so maybe thats what you mean by noble. i might be completely off on this one, but im too lazy to check. and not THAT much of a geek. shutupshutuplaughing. but yea. so whats new chica? havent spoken since i came to visit and that's sad.
