I learned something in Anthropology that has given me insight into Phantom of the Opera.

The phantom, by being deformed, "violates the scene." People who violate the "scene" or norm, are generally ignored by the rest of society, a behavior called "deviance disavowel" where people basically ignore the deviation.

So the phantom, once he escapes, instead of living a life of being disavowed, goes into hiding so he can be in control of how much people acknowlegde his existance. He is in power, not them.

Cool huh?

P.S. I am making up the analysis of the phantom, but not the terms "violating the scene" and "deviance disavowal." Those are real.

Anyone ever seen The Birds?

You know the scene where like 500 seagulls are wheeling menacingly overhead, right before they swoop down and kill people?

Well that's what it's like outside my window right now.

AHHHHHHHHHHH SEAGULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Current Mood: scared
There are few things more terrifying than walking out of your room clad only in a towel and seeing a boy standing a few doors down. Vulnerability like woah.

Alan Shore makes me want to be a lawyer.

Some of you may have noticed that all my away messages of late have had a fanfic quote at the bottom. (Or maybe you didn't notice, which is why I'm explaining.) Anyways, these quotes have something to do with the message, and are part of my unending quest to prove that all things can be related to fanfiction.
