I haven't updated in a while, despite wanting to, because I have been studying Organic Chemistry like a FIEND. However, I just took the test (and it was AWFUL) so now I can do other things with my life.

Anyways, we all got dressed up and went to the Rugby Ball on Saturday, and I just have to say two things:

1. The Echo Center is so cool. And dancing in heels and a pretty dress amongst turtles and fishes made my life complete. Dude, it was awesome. That is the way to have a dance. If I'd had my way, I wouldn't have gone down to the dance floor (to be pushed around and elbowed out of the way by drunks) but stayed dancing upstairs with the frogs. It's not like you can't hear the music up there.

2. Boys have been going to dances since oh... about 5th grade. And they still look just as awkward and uncomfortable in their stiff button-up shirts and ties now, as they did then.

I did have a good time though. And I looked good. And Abby did my hair, and I danced provocatively with Nora, and it was fun. The music wasn't horrendous, and the people were... less drunk than usual.

Oh, and Abby and Phil and I saw Chicago at the Flynn yesterday. I really liked it (especially the glitter confetti), but BILLY FLYNN DID NOT TAP DANCE!! (These are my CAPSLOCK of rage and disappointment.) He was smarmy and fantastic, but I waited the entire show to see him tap dance, and he never did. :(  Also, Roxie looked like Liza Minelli from Cabaret. No, seriously. But I really did enjoy it.

Ok, that's all for the unexciting update on my life. I shall leave you with an Abby quote: "Sadly, I cannot do the tomato soup dance while carrying tomato soup."

Because all the cool kids are doing it:

Ok, I'm just going to come right out and say it: The Halloween dance sucked. I don't know why I go to dances anymore. They don't play any music I can even stand to hear, much less dance to. But I looked hot, as did my suitemates and Co. We kicked so much ass with our costumes.

Which brings me to my rantish-thing for the night: DRESSING LIKE A SLUT/WHORE IS NOT A GOOD COSTUME. I do not know how many girls I saw in very short and/or tight outfits who weren't supposed to be anything other than skanky. (And the ones that were slutty nurses/firemen/etc. were only mariginally better.) It really irritated me.

Oh, but these two boys went as a giant penis and a giant hand. Yeah. That was pretty amusing, if I do say so myself. (And I do.)

Anyways, a bunch of us left the dance after like an hour, and went to a townhouse where Katie K. and her boyfriend were Harry and Hermione. I was really impressed with their costumes, as well as Jon Anderson's Ace Ventura. It was great. And Gary was the milkman, while his girlfriend was someone else's wife who he'd knocked up. I thought that was very creative.

Have I mentioned yet how annoying drunk people are?

So, I was Elpheba, and Brendan painted me green. And when we got back and I finally washed it all off, I was like "I've been de-greenified!"

And then Nora and I watched Ever After and went to bed. So it really wasn't a bad night, even with the crappy dance.
It's nice to know, in this crazy chaotic world we inhabit, that some things never change.

I went to the formal dance at the Wyndham Hotel tonight, and it was pretty much exactly like every other dance I've ever been to since middle school. Right down to the one girl, wronged by some boy, crying to her friends in the bathroom.

Of course, the more things stay the same the more they change... Or something like that... And I can't handle that many drunk people in that small of a space. They just make me uncomfortable. Hence why I'm back now, instead of still at the dance.

I didn't have a date, but I looked damn hot.
Saw Comedy of Errors last night... There were some minor things that I didn't like, but overall it was amazing and hilarious. And the things I didn't like were really based on me personally, and not so much the show (because it was very well acted and choreographed and the set was cool.)

Tonight there's a decade dance... What did hippies wear on their feet? And that's the 60's right? God I'm bad at this.

Then this weekend is parents' weekend, so it's going to be busy... And yet I'm not doing my homework now while I have time. Heh.

I really don't have anything of substance to put in here, I just wanted to update.

Hey! I'm writing a play for my Intro to Lit class... It's wicked short, but would you guys like to read it?
I don't know quite what I expected from the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry dance, but I didn't get it.

(That's Megan code for the dance sucked.)

Dancing: When does it stop being fun and start being gang rape? (You never though you'd have to ask that question, did you? Me neither.)

Two guys brought Kelsey back a few minutes ago. Totally trashed. Great.

But the Red Sox won, so they're now tied for first place. Yay!

I left the dance when it occured to me that I could be here, reading fanfiction, instead of there, wishing I was here, reading fanfiction.

Bring on the puppy love!
