Secret Santa is truly God's gift to Christmas shopping.
So, you may have noticed that I stopped that whole writing for 10 minutes a day thing. Yeah, I fail. Real life and writing papers and driving home for Thanksgiving and then Thanksgiving itself all got in the way.

But, today I went Christmas shopping, and they had a buy one get one free sale at the Disney store, and look! I have a seasonally appropriate icon!

Also, I love Christmas. I love buying people things, and wrapping them, and making people happy. In conclusion, yay Christmas!
Fabulous day today.

Went shopping with mom (there are no tiger masks to be had in Rutland for love nor money, just in case you were wondering), hung out with Hannah L., then had ice cream with Hannah, Aaron, and Vanessa.

So Hannah Loso. You think she's all cute and innocent, and nice, and she is, but then she does things like win two straight games of Sorry! and says things like "He's just... emotionally unattainable right now." She makes me laugh so much.

Man, she's just so cute and hippie-ish and she actually said to me today, "So many people wouldn't have sticks up their asses if they just walked around barefoot more. If George Bush just walked around barefoot in the grass, then we wouldn't be at war."

Oh Hannah.

Also, Aaron and Vanessa are awesome. Vanessa and I colored with crayons at Ben and Jerry's. I have got to hang out with them more often.

And last but not least, there was a shirt in B&J's that said "Vermont. What happens here, stays here. But nothing ever really happens." Which is sad, but funny because it's true. AND I LIKE IT THAT WAY.
Went to lunch at The Coffee Exchange with my mom, where we ran into and then joined Hannah and her dad. Heh. (Sidenote: My mother seemed to think that we would not be able to get lunch at 2:00 because everywhere would be closed. I was like, 'what planet do you live on?' Restaurants open in the morning, and they close at night, and they serve food in-between. They don't close at 1:30 and just stop serving. Usually.)

Then I went to the mall and Wal-Mart with Heather, Emalee, Jess, Eric, and Renee, and bought some clothes and some geeky things; by which I mean little packets that dissolve in water to reveal little plastic Disney Princesses.

And I want more of them, but mom has basically forbidden me to buy any more, so... my birthday is the 14th... They have a cute name too, zizzlingers or something like that. I'll see if I can find a link later.

It was a nice day. Calm. Maybe tomorrow I'll update with quotes from the Billy Connoly thing we watched tonight.
My loft is gone. My bed is now on the ground. It's sad, and my room looks really open and sort of empty now, but it's also nice to be able to sit on my bed and watch tv or just chill without climbing.

Speaking of which, Abby and I watched The Two Towers from my bed today, after watching The Fellowship of the Ring yesterday. After having her pause them all the time and painstakingly and patiently explain things to my dumb ass, I really feel like I have a much better handle on the movies than I did before. It was nice to have someone who's read the books give me the low down on everything. (Just like I did for her with Star Wars.)

Abby and I also went downtown to go shopping today, and went to Dobra Tea, which is still the best place ever. And they take Knight Card. Woot!

Then I went to my Spanish review session and reached two conclusions:
1. I am awesome at Spanish.
2. The other people... Not so much.

YOU CANNOT ARGUE WITH SPANISH. IT IS THE WAY IT IS AND THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT. ARGUING ABOUT IT IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE THE FACT THAT YOU ARE WRONG. AND STUPID. AND PROBABLY SMELL.

I am one paper and two finals away from being done with my first year of college. Wheeeeeeee!
Two high points of my day:

1. Shopping, during which I bought a bathing suit, a sparkly pink bracelet, and A NEW WATCH BAND!!! God, I missed my watch. So, I bought half the bathing suit at Kohl's and half at JC Penny's. Yeah.

2. Hanging out with Chris. And Chris. Hahahahahahaha! I love you Chris!

In other news, I will be posting my much anticipated play soon. The final revisions will be happening tomorrow, as it is due Tuesday, and then I'll put it up.

Toodles!
Shopping in Burlington today with Hannah, Anna, Kristen, Kelli, and briefly, Ethan.

I bought a lot of things that I don't really need, but hey. I wanted a goth skirt with sequins and big shiny necklaces and dangly earrings.

I was totally freaking out in Urban Outfitters cause they sell such crap stuff for such outrageous prices... I was seriously way too upset by that. It put me wicked off balance and I kept bumping into things and almost knocking things over.

Then we went to the jewelry place (name = ?) which was full of reasonably priced SHINY THINGS! That cured me.

Anna tried on corsets... That was amusing. Kelli contemplated handcuffs in Spencer's, into which I dragged everybody cause Hannah was there and it was nostalgic. Sort of.

Oh, and Kelli found me a pin in Hot Topic that says "It's better to have loved and lost than to be with a psycho forever." Yeah, that's pretty much perfect. Thank you Kelli!

Hannah practically had a squeegasm in Phoenix, but I expected that.

It was a good day. A very good day. I love my friends.
