It tastes like tomato juice, but it's like 20,000% of my daily sodium intake!

-Eric's girlfriend Libby (who basically lives at our house), about V8.

This is me, sitting in my living room, freezing, feeling...odd, and not wanting to go pick up the pink room, because then I'll have to remember that Andrew was here last night, and now he's gone. :(

(Sidebar: if you aren't going to want to hear about how crazy I am about Andrew, you'd do well to stop reading this journal for the foreseeable future. He makes me so happy, and I'm going to talk about it.)

Anyways, in lieu of doing something useful, I'm going to babble!

You know what really pisses me off? When people don't pull over and stop for firetrucks/police cars/ambulances.

It happened on my way home from the store just now (I got ingredients for s'mores, which ROCK) and It's not ok.

I pulled over to let the firetrucks by, and people actually pulled around me and kept going. I wanted to get out and hit them. Who does that?

Maybe it's just cause my dad and uncle and brother are all firemen, but these people are risking their lives to protect the public, and the least you assholes could do is pull over for a second and let them by. Oh, and did I mention that it's the LAW?

And I don't care how many lanes there are, or how far away the vehicles in question are, you see flashing lights, you pull to the right and stop. That's it, end of story.

Grrrrr.

Today is National Sibling Day , and since I have a sibling, I thought I'd let you all know. :)

And now, a tale from Wind Ensemble.

Doc wasn't there last night, but since we have a concert on Saturday we had rehearsal anyways. Zach Benson (Bensen?) conducted for us, and he did a fabuolus job. The only problem was the random 3/2 measures in this one song, but Doc has issues with those too, so whatever.

Then we got to "Dance", which song we NEVER play right, and we were all like... "Yeah. Let's try it anyways." And I said to Zach, cause I play clarinet and am right up there near the conductor, "Just wave your arms and pray." And someone else goes, "That's what Doc does with this song anyways." (It actually turned out ok, cause we played it slower than usual.)

It was just really nice, to see a group of students come together and practice without teacher supervision, and not screw around, and actually play pretty well. I like it when people are mature. It gives me faith in humanity.

ETA: I am retarded. Sibling Day is tomorrow. Whatever. We can celebrate early.
Dad and Eric and I went fishing today. That was an adventure.

See, fishing with my father involves a lot of food, and usually no fish. But today, among the three of us, we caught a grand total of 11 fish and one frog. (Yes, Eric caught a frog. Then he tried to re-cast his line, using the frog as bait, but it fell off mid-cast.)

Most of the fish we caught were little pumpkinseeds and bass, but I caught a 12" largemouth bass. Because I am awesome. (We let them all go. I shudder to think what Arthur would do if I brought home dead fish.) Pictures of me and my fantastic fish will probably be up on Facebook soon.

And that was my day!
So, I'm home for break now, but I haven't been online much because of my computer.

It seems like every time I come home something happens to that thing. This time, even when it's plugged in, it won't stop running off the battery. (Which is bad, cause the battery only lasts so long.) I'm hoping that it's just the power cord that's shot, and I'm going to see if I can get a new one tomorrow, but if I have to send it in to get fixed AGAIN, I'll let you all know.

Elsewise, I'll try to get on the desktop if I can, but Eric sort of has the monopoly on that, so you know.

Goddamn technology.
Ok kids, here's the deal.

The hinge on my computer has been broken for months and months, and I'm finally sending it in to be fixed. What that means is, except for when I can wrestle the desktop away from my brother, and fight with it because it HATES ME, I'm not going to be on the internet much, if at all, for the next week or so. So don't expect me to see what you're writing, or be on AIM, or any of that jazz.

Hopefully I'll get my computer back soon, and, God willing, before I go back to school, and I'll let you know when I'll be back on 24/7. :)

Till then, Adios!

Oh, yes, and HANNAH COMES TONIGHT!!!
So we went out to dinner at Cafe Provence in Brandon tonight to celebrate Heather's birthday (August 30) and Eric's (September 1) and it was a classic Denardo get-together.

After arriving in shifts, Heather spilled her lemonade. Everywhere.

Then my mother asked my brother if he was playing the bagle this year. (She meant bugle, but that makes almost as little sense because he plays the saxophone. I blame the martinis.)

And they had the cutest little salt and pepper shakers there, so Heather and Emalee each stole a pair. Aided by my father. We are all insane.

But I had duck, and it was very very good. We joked, and we laughed, and we were extremely random, and I love my family.

And now, my house is full of young teenage boys, and they are all football players, and they are HUGE and I am not exaggerating.

In other news, the Dog Team Tavern burned to the ground the other night. How random is that?
Ok. I had this dream last night, and it's sort of bothering me, so I'm going to write it down and maybe that'll help. I don't usually remember this much of my dreams, but this one's sticking with me for some reason.

Cut Because It's Long and Freaky )

Isn't that the most wacked out thing you've ever heard? It's still kind of creeping me out, but I can't help thinking at the same time that if I edited it together so that it made sense it would be a truly kick-ass story. Of course then I'd have to come up with a good ending...any suggestions?
My brother and I bought a wireless router yesterday... which means that I am currently online... IN MY LIVING ROOM.

And it is AWESOME.

In other news, Hannah Loso is a blanket hog.

Saw My Super Ex-Girlfriend last night. It was ok. Funny at times. Luke Wilson is still hot.
"You did throw a shark at me."

Janeea won at poker last night, but I wasn't doing too shabby. And she and Kim won at Trivial Pursuit too. Whores. (But not really, obviously)

Ah, I don't really feel like going into details, but last night was a good night. I love hanging out with people. (Who doesn't?)

Stupid Video World didn't have any more copies of V for Vendetta last night. Oh well. Hence there were games instead.

Yeah, I'm just spewing random nonsense thougts as they come into my head. I'll stop now.
So wow.

It's been, like, forever since the last time I updated, which is mostly because lots of busy and lots of Eric on the computer.

And now my Shift key is spazzing. WTF?

Le'anyhoodle, let's start with my birthday.
-Went to lunch with mom at Tapas, where I'd never been before. Consider this my recommendation for it. It was very good.

-Went to see Pirates of the Carribean, Dead Man's Chest, and didn't get the title until about halfway through the movie. Since most of you saw it with me, all I'm going to say about it is what I said in the theater after it was over: HOLY FUCKING SHIT IN A BOX. (And I mean every single one of those capitol letters.) (And did I mention that Sarah is awesome? I'm never going to another movie without her if I can help it. We just sat there and screamed after it was over. GAH.) Also, if anyone hasn't seen it, there is a scene after the credits. AND THE MOVIE IS OMG AND IS IT MAY YET? (Although, I have to see this one again, because I didn't understand all of it. I know there was a chest (not Elizabeth's) and a key and Johnny Depp and Emo!Will, but I missed a lot of details.)

Look! And undead monkey!

-Went back to my house for cake and talking and presents and this game Janeea bought me called Boxers or Briefs which is AMAZING.

I GOT DOMINOES. (Because Neea is awesome.)

Then the next day I drove up to Swanton for the weekend to visit Abby, who is also AMAZING and I love her, but since none of you really know her that well, I won't babble about that except to say that I taught her to play dominoes and she beat me 10 rounds in a row. While we watched The 10th Kingdom. And her parents are so cool.

And I saw Gladiator for the first time. Ah yes little bird, war is hell and I am studly.

Also, I DIDN'T GET LOST.

And they have actual swans in Swanton. Who knew?

Yesterday and Monday were pretty calm, hung out with Sarah and some Chinese food, went to Burlington yesterday and bought pretty things at Hot Topic, as always, and ate dinner at The Church Street Tavern, (which I also recommend) and ERIC DROVE HOME. Yikes.

And, that brings us up to today.

I know I'll remember more stuff I wanted to say later, but this is enough drivel for now I think.

OH! I FINALLY got the joke in The 10th Kingdom!!!

Tony: Where's the wood?
Virginia: We couldn't find any.
Tony: No wood? In the forest?
Wolf: *walks by*
Tony: You don't have any wood either!
Wolf: Yes, thank you.
Wolf's Tail: *sticks out of his pants obscenely*

See, I got that they didn't have any firewood because they'd been off having sex, and I got that his tail = his arousal, but I never knew why he said "Yes, thank you." And now I do. Because he didn't have any wood. In the pants area.

God, I am thick.
My brother keeps telling me to die. Is that normal?

It goes like this:

Me: Why don't you be nice to me?
Eric: Why don't you go die?

Why?
1. Thank you everyone who responded to my plea for help in the icon shrinkage department, but when I got home from dinner Eric had made everything its proper size again. I don't know how, but that's not important. It's nice to know that you are all there for me though.

2. Heather made me dinner (Macaroni and Cheese and salad) and I hung out at her apartment with her, Emalee, Rachel, Dave, Kat, DJ, Jen, and Travis. All of the aforementioned are totally awesome people, except Jen who I did not like. She was just bitchy. Maybe she'd had a bad day? I dunno. We watched Baby Boom. Very very funny. Mmmmmmmmmm yup.

By the way, Heather, Travis is jacked. But I don't like his hair. But he's funny and he's adorable in that "I'm not scared of you crazy people, exactly, but wow." kind of way. And he teases you. Which means he likes you. Oh, and Dave is a winner because of his awesome Varitek shirt, complete with the little C for Captain. He seemed to hug you a lot. WTF?

3. I went grocery shopping with my mother today, and I laughed insanely at the bananas.(Accio Bananas!) Then I totally lost it because she bought Fresh Young Chicken. (I explained about the chicken, but not about the bananas.)

4. Do you guys ever listen to a song just to hear one line? Like you don't really care about the rest of the song, but one line just stands out to you? I do that. "Have a child for warmth, and a baker for bread, and a prince for...whenever."

5. James Spader makes my life.
Shirley: "Who among us could watch the presidential debates and deny that we came from monkeys?"

6. I haven't been this scared in a long time.

7. STELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Attention everyone! (But mostly Chad)

My brother did something to the computer and now all the icons and the mouse and all the screens and everything are all really big and we can't make them smaller. HELP!

It's possible that we're in Safe mode, because it looked like this before, but I don't know how to get out of Safe mode if we are in it, so if anyone knows how to do that...

Thank you!

Back!

Jan. 16th, 2005 12:44 am
Wow I am such a dork. Livejournal was down for like maybe 24 hours and I did not know what to do with myself heh.

So here is what you missed:

Eric broke his finger playing basketball.

My dad fell asleep while holding his half full wine glass, and dropped it, spilling red wine all over the carpet, chouch, and his pants. Damn senile old drunk. Heh.

And I bloody found it!

"Yay potatoes!" Harry said, climbing into one of the dining-room chairs. Both of them looked at him.
"Did you like mashed potatoes when you were eight?" Remus asked.
"Hated them."
"Me too."
Sirius shrugged, and pushed Remus gently towards the table. "He can have my peas, too..." Remus called after him.

Hee hee hee. I love Becky.

So. As for the movie, the last quote was indeed from A Knight's Tale, and Paul Bettany rocks my world! Janeea and Kim got it correct, and for a prize they get to be the first to know that I got a new ligature today! Yippiee!

Here is the next quote: "You are a fat pudding, stuffed with proverbs."

Good Luck!

My Brother

My brother is occasionally a very amusing child.

I was pulling into the garage and I said "I hope I don't take a mirror off." And he goes "It's ok, they fold in, don't worry." And so I laughed.

Then he kicek his shoe off and it went too high and hit the bottle of miracle grow and knocked it off the shelf and I laughed so hard I couldn't stand.
